GRWM FOR CAFA GALA WITH JOE FRESH

For those of you who don’t know, I was nominated for Digital Fashion Influencer of the Year (!) at the 2018 CAFA’s (Canadian Arts + Fashion Awards). It was a huge shock and a wonderful surprise. Ultimately I didn’t win (the lovely Maripier Morin did), but I had an amazing night and I feel so honored and thrilled to have been nominated. It’s easy to keep trucking along and get lost in what you’re doing on a day-to-day basis, but to be recognized for the work that I’m doing (and that I love doing) inspires me and motivates me to expand on my creativity.

I thought it would be fun to take you guys with me on a GRWM for the CAFA gala. I teamed up with Joe Fresh (who is a sponsor of the CAFA’s) for my makeup look – I wanted something different and that would photograph well (more defined makeup tends to look better in photos). Here I’m showing you my makeup look, taking you with me as I get ready at the Fairmont Hotel, and poking-fun at my biggest diva moment to date (a wardrobe change for the afterparty!).

Lastly, I want to say a massive thank you to you guys – I love connecting with you on a daily basis and you truly make my job a joy. There is no August Diaries without you.
