Dressing for the office can be hard. Obviously you want to err on the more conservative side, but these are the clothes you are in for the majority of your week and I know I still like to look and feel good in them. The trick to incorporating trends at the office this season is the culotte (can you tell I’m obsessed?). It has that 70’s vibe that feels so fresh but is still a great basic black pant. Pair them with a blouse (tucked in, buttoned up fully for an edgier look), sweater, or even a crop top (no navel at the office though, please) with a blazer.  They look good with flats + heels and even better with booties. Stay tuned for many more outfits featuring the culotte!

In other news, I’m having sinus surgery today. I’ve had chronic sinusitis for over 8 years (think headaches that actually hurt your face, colds that won’t go away, and generally gross nose stuff) and am finally getting something done about it. I’m excited and a little nervous (surgery around your eyes and brain is always scary) and will be out of commission for 2 weeks! Part of me is looking forward to doing nothing and watching movies, but I know I’ll be itching to get back to the real world within a few days. Wish me luck and I’ll keep you guys posted on my recovery (follow me on snapchat “augustdiaries” for updates!)

Crazy! I had acute sinusitis when I was really young…it landed me in the hospital for two weeks. I still remember the face migraines so I can totally relate. Best of luck with your surgery. 🙂
