I actually bought this navy coat because the grey version was sold out. It was last winter and I was heading to Ontario (brr) and I needed a coat. So I got the only one available and it’s been a staple in my closet ever since. For those of you who are hesitant to commit to navy, please disregard those old fashion rules: “No black and navy together!” (I’m currently saying this in a snotty voice, by the way). Wear brown + black, navy + black, grey + charcoal or silver, gold + rose gold together anytime you please if it makes you feel confident and happy. I don’t believe in fashion “rules.” I believe in trusting your gut on what makes you feel amazing.

And I would highly recommend you invest in a navy coat. You’d be surprised how many options it gives you… plus it’s a lot softer and more original than black (although I would never badmouth the colour black ever!)

What a happy accident that you got this coat as it’s a classic! And yes fashion rules are for the boring.

Love your outfit…navy + black + white is such a classic combo. Quick question – do you get charged very high border fees when you order from Asos? I have my eye on quite a few items but am hesitating due to a bad past experience (with another brand).

thank you! I find it varies with Asos, sometimes I get charged (especially if it’s over $100) and sometimes I don’t. But yes, border fees are definitely an irritant when ordering online.. I just tend to build them into the price when I’m considering an item!
