what to buy at the shopbop sale

You guys all know Shopbop is one of my favourite online retailers (I’m a bit embarrassed by how much I’m on that site)… Anyway, somehow it’s already Thanksgiving here in Canada and sale season is officially kicking off. This huge sale doesn’t actually open to the public until tomorrow, but I’m giving you guys early access today! Use code MAINEVENT16 to get 25% off up to $500 and 30% off $500+ (sale ends on October 14th, more details here).

A big sale is great, but if you don’t know what you’re looking for, it can be overwhelming. So what to buy at the Shopbop sale? Let’s think about what you need for fall/winter. I’m going for a great jacket and/or parka, crop flare jeans, a cropped sweater + some key accessories.

Bomber jackets have been a staple of mine since the spring/summer and can easily be transitioned into fall with a sweater + scarf. If a bomber won’t cut it, go for a chic, classic parka, like this Mackage coat. Crop flare denim has also been an obsession of mine and I’m feeling like I need another pair. This Paige Denim pair is undoubtedly one I’ll be picking up. I’ll be pairing my flare denim with a slightly cropped pullover sweater (Wang makes a fav of mine).

I can’t tell you how many compliments I’ve gotten on this dress and it couldn’t come more highly recommend. I’m currently wearing it casually with sneakers and will switch to boots with gold hoop earrings when the weather gets colder (and for those of you who think J-Lo in 2001 when you think gold loop earnings… mine will be ever so slightly smaller).

PS I know it’s a bit odd to be thinking about bikinis, but now is actually the best time to purchase. My two favourites are Mikoh + Marysia Swim.
