skirt, sweater (c/o): 424 Fifth | shoes: Zara

Same components as Monday’s post (grey cashmere sweater, black midi skirt, black shoes), but a COMPLETELY different look. When I tried this full skirt on, I was super skeptical; I don’t usually wear big ball-gown type skirts. But pushing yourself out of your comfort zone is important, whether it’s in life or fashion. What surprised me most of all was how I felt in this skirt. It kind of made me feel like a princess or at least something royal (corny I know). I sat down in a chair and it kind of draped and fluffed everywhere and I never wanted to take it off. Who knew?!

Which brings me back to why I fell in love with fashion in the first place: how it makes you feel. You know when you put on your favourite pair of jeans and you know your butt looks amazing? Or that dressy little number when you go out with friends and you find yourself strutting instead of walking? I love how clothes can change the way people feel and what they exude. It’s what continues to keep me in the business.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Love this look! I would feel very uncomfortable as well wearing such a full skirt out, especially in Vancouver lol. I wonder when it was decided that full skirts could only be worn for formal occasions?

Coolest skirt ever! It also comes in blue, citron and ivory, but I’ve the black one too and it’s a classic. Yes, it can look a little formal but it goes just great with a denim jacket. It feels great on, especially with your hands in the deep pockets!
