It’s been a while, my friends. As many of you know, I went away to visit my boyfriend in Ontario a few weeks ago (hence this bundled up look). And I took a bit of a blogging break while I was there. Between balancing a full-time job and a long-distance relationship, my spare time can be precious and sometimes I don’t want to/don’t have the energy to style, shoot and write a post.

I’ve been feeling unmotivated when it comes to blogging lately. And as it is something I very much enjoy, I don’t want to push it. I feel like when I put up a post I really didn’t want to do or that took a lot of effort and stress to produce, you can tell. I started this blog because I wanted to share my love of style and fashion, and while it’s grown into something more, that is still why I do it. At the end of the day, if I’m not enjoying writing this, I KNOW you’re not enjoying reading it and that completely negates the point.

So please give me a little time to figure out exactly what I want this blog to be and what it means to me. I don’t want to be pumping out shitty content every other day just to produce something new. Quality is important to me, as I know it is to you.

Thanks, as always, for reading.

Thanks Camille! I love the hair tuck because it lets me be lazy with styling my hair 🙂

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Jill. Even though I totally agree with you, my experience shows that if you want your blog to grow, you’ll have to keep those posts coming. Having said that, I don’t mean that you should do it. Do what you can and be true to yourself, that’s my way of seeing things. I also can’t post everyday, not with two kids – no nanny:), an education and a couple projects on my mind…
    P.S. Love your style

      Hi Petra,

Yes to keep the numbers up you definitely need lots of content! I found it helped to even take a few weeks away.. Thanks for your comment!

You look great! Blogging, like many creative and personal endeavours, can be very draining because it is so much more than your time and your skill you are putting into it. I think taking a step back to replenish some of that energy is the best way to handle it! Take the time you need and we will all still be here when you get back! Hope you enjoyed Ontario (my province!) xx

Thanks for your thoughtful comment Rebecca! I agree, even taking 2 weeks made me feel more replenished to get new, quality content out. I loved Ontario, where are you from in it??

That’s great 🙂 I’m from Toronto area! Is that where you visited? We’ve had quite the eclectic mix of cold, snowy, warm, and rainy weather as of late! xx
