I kind of wish I would have washed my hair before shooting these photos… But it was a weekend and an impromptu photoshoot with my mom (see yesterday’s post for a mother-specific shoutout)… And you can’t win em all. I actually hate washing my hair because I hate styling it. I’ve got it down to a 15-min science, but I’m the laziest person ever and try to get away with washing my hair as little as possible (which does not bode well for fine hair…).
Anyway, enough about hair, let’s talk fashion. The first time I saw this dress I thought of that iconic photo of Veruschka and
Yves Saint Laurent’s affinity for all things safari. I went with the 1970’s vibe (as I always do) and channelled Yves himself with the neck scarf. I know that spring + summer are all about light colours, but I like that this dress is darker and more muted. It shows off a tan and will look chic into the fall.
PS As a follow up to my scarf video, I was curious if you guys would like a tutorial on how to tie the neck scarf… I’m definitely adding more video content (including a hair tutorial video!) so please let me know in the comments 🙂
