guest post: thrifts and threads

While I’m off trying to figure out this Ontario winter (camel coat one day, then flip flops the next?!), I am excited to feature some of my favourite bloggers. Vanessa is super chic minimalist from Toronto who showed us her FW14 must-haves earlier this week. Taking over the blog today is Brittany, who I found on Instagram and am now a massive fan of. This girl finds the BEST vintage clothing and pairs it with super affordable pieces that always look way more expensive than they are. I’ll be back next week… Have a great weekend friends!

Hi guys! I’m Brittany, a wife and mom living in Southern California. I’m a Sales & Marketing coordinator for a large insurance brokerage firm in Pasadena and also the blogger behind Thrifts and Threads.

I began Thrifts and Threads in December 2013 to highlight pieces I find from thrift and vintage shops as well as affordable retail chains. My goal is to inspire others to find and create style no matter what the price may be!

Anyways.. for AW14, I’m obsessed with sharp white blouses and this one particularly caught my eye with the exaggerated slits and long length, perfect for layering under a cozy knit or wearing alone. I’ll definitely be wearing this shirt on rotation this season and if you already follow my blog.. you know I never wear items just once- what fun is that?

Brittany is great! Found her blog through instagram as well a couple months ago! I’m a huge thrifter as well but my dress is a lot more casual so it’s so awesome to see how professional one can look on a budget! Glad to have found your blog through hers—it’s lovely! And I hear you on the Ontario “fall” that is going on at the moment… xx
